Why Not Try … Wednesday

November 30, 2011

Welcome back for another “Why Not Try …” Wednesday, which features a new food or recipe every week. Check out my bullet points and nutrition facts, then try it for yourself – a great way to add some variety to your diet!

Today’s feature food: Baby Carrots

-Great source of fiber

-Low calorie, sugar, fats

-Enjoy on-the-go, steamed in a veggie medley, or even juiced

-Great source of vitamin A!

*Vit A from carrots is actually converted from beta-carotene – the stuff that makes carrots orange – so eat as much as you want because you can’t overdose on vit A this way! … your skin might turn as orange as Snooki’s though :O
